New Luxury Spa Resorts in Tuscany!
Lifestyle & Thermal Retreat Fonteverde
Originally built in the 17th century as one of the Medici villas, this exclusive resort is now known as a therapeutic retreat in nature. Fonteverde offers 63 rooms, including 11 junior suites and 4 master suites, newly renovated in 2020. The ornaments of Tuscan palaces and the two-tone bands characteristic of the churches in Florence and Siena have inspired our new rooms and dictate the choice of black and white accents for elegant interior design and refined living.
Apart from the gourmet experiences, the artisan shops, the medieval towns and the antique markets, Fonteverde is best known for its thermal baths, whose waters are rich in fluorine, magnesium and sulphur, and for its own wellness philosophy called Equilibrium, for nutrition, body and soul. The property also features a private chapel, originally built in the 11th century, which serves as an ideal destination for weddings and events. For those who wish to combine their stay with business activities, Fonteverde offers state-of-the-art meeting rooms.

Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort
Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort is a Marriott hotel: a 19th-century villa in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Lucca. Century in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Lucca. It is the ancient villa of the family of the poet Giusti: in 1849, maintenance technicians discovered the largest thermal grotto in Europe here. A millennial grotto of 2000 m² that Giuseppe Verdi called "the eighth wonder of the world" and which gave its name to the hotel.
The grotto is divided into three sections - Paradise, Purgatory and Hell - and houses a thermal lake, the "limbo", where you can live an amazing experience called spa floating: the circuit begins with bioenergetic and yoga-inspired relaxation techniques before continuing with a floating session on the surface of the underground lake. In an emotionally highly effective environment, work is done on inner harmony.
The thermal water of the Grotta Giusti flows warm and pure from the hydrothermal aquifer of Montalbano, where it is enriched with precious minerals and trace elements. It is used in the same state in which it gushes from the springs, without chemical or physical treatments. Thanks to their anti-inflammatory and relaxing effects, they are an invaluable tool for health prevention and treatment. A dip in the pools of pure thermal water is just one of the ways to reap the benefits of this gift of nature.
The 3000 square meter spa offers a 750 square meter thermal pool with underwater hydromassages, two smaller thermal pools, saunas, steam baths, a Roman bath, experience showers, ice fountains and various relaxation areas.
The Equilibrium method is the core philosophy of the spa and includes treatments that primarily aim to "turn off" hyperactive stress and inflammatory systems. The program's therapies and treatments have an immediate, coordinated effect on the nervous, hormonal and immune systems. This leads to weight loss, detoxification and anti-stress effects.
